  • Developed a needs assessment to gauge grade 6/7 reading interests and habits

  • Collected and processed quantitative and qualitative data for 104 survey responses

  • Created and shared an infographic of their reading interests and habit survey results

  • Developed suggestions of approximately 50 young adult fiction and nonfiction titles based on responses

  • Creating a lesson plan and instructing for a lesson on indigenous storytelling

  • Providing in-class research and reference assistance for student Heritage Fair projects

  • Performed story times with kindergarten classes, which included many ESL learners

  • Managed to keep up with the kindergartners at limbo!

UBC RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICE (RMO)

  • Designed a relational database in Microsoft Access to manage the RMO’s classification and retention schedules

  • Met clients weekly to discuss their needs and goals

  • Developed project documentation, including the work breakdown structure, deliverable checklist, project charter, and user manual

  • Instructed a short introduction/training session for the new database

FIREPOWER: THE ROYAL ARTILLERY MUSEUM

Curatorial Intern | February 2014 - April 2014

  • Researched and developed two museum exhibitions

  • Handled rare artifacts and primary documents, such as World War I letters, diaries, medals, sketchbooks, and handbooks

  • Cataloged approximately 800 handbooks in collaboration with the museum librarian

  • Assisted the Education Officer with instruction on school and library visits
